Quick Chocolate Mousse


  • 1 bag mini marshmallows (approximately 6 cups)
  • Β½ stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 9 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • ΒΌ cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Combine marshmallows, chocolate, butter and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until chocolate and marshmallows melt and combine. Remove from heat.
  2. Whip cream and vanilla together until thick. Fold into cooled chocolate mixture until completely combined.
  3. Pour into small serving dishes, or into a graham cracker crust if making a pie. Place in the refrigerator and allow to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
